Day 0: 88 Temples: Kobe

The flight wasn't at all bad.  We sat at the gate for nearly an hour after our takeoff time but still arrived in Osaka on time.  My seatmate was not at all friendly and seemed to have a job writing Amazon reviews.  I had hoped to get a little sleep but it was the middle of the day for me.  I did nap a few times in the middle of the biggest action scenes of some of the movies I was watching.

I floated through immigration, baggage pickup and customs.  Definitely a little spacey post-flight.  While waiting for Mike I got some cash at the ATM and put in my SIM card.  It showed signal but I needed to set the APN username and password before it would work.  This is one of the worst parts of the Android UI and it took many attempts to get it working.

When Mike arrived we missed each other a few times in the terminal but finally got together at the bus stop.  We bought tickets at the machine across from the stop and then checked our bags.  We got a claim receipt and everything.  The 5:15 bus got as a block away from our hotel in about an hour.

We checked in, cleaned up and sorted our gear.  We walked over to see where the bus to Shikoku picked up and bought tomorrow's bus tickets.  Everything has been within a block of the hotel.  Early start at 7am.

Natsuko who already helped us with some of our accomodation bookings was holding our extra luggage until Mike's wife Momo gets to Japan.  She met us at the hotel and took us to a very good tonkatsu dinner on the restaurant level of the department store in the building above tomorrow's bus stop.

After dinner I was really starting to fade and I need some sleep.
